The three men who have been charged in the shark-dragging crime apparently were looking for a pat on the back from one of Florida’s most recognized shark hunters. Mark “The Shark” Quartiano received the video from the criminals of the shark being dragged and then posted it on Instagram explaining he did not support the video. Michael Wenzel, 21, of Palmetto, and Robert Lee Benac, 28, of Bradenton, were charged with two felony counts of aggravated animal cruelty, a third-degree felony, and one misdemeanor count of violation of wildlife rules. Spencer Heintz, 23, of Palmetto, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated animal cruelty.
