The North Port High School ROTC honored retiring Police Chief Kevin Vespia Tuesday. Vespia has spoken to the ROTC class in years past, advising them that “they can do anything they set their minds to.” The ROTC invited the chief to their annual military inspection parade. Vespia is set to retire in March of next year, then will help out the city of Venice’s police department in their quest to be re-accrediated by the state.
