Months after Hurricane Irma changed the lives of thousands of Florida residents, the City of Sarasota is able to put a major cleanup project behind it. An announcement has been made stating that storm debris collection is now complete. The two month process collected over 60,000 cubic yards and cost $1.5 million. Collection costs are paid for initially by local government, but is supposed to be repaid by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
