A meeting that could affects residents of Venice regarding impact fees for police and fire fees is scheduled for tomorrow. The fees would come from new construction only and require notice of 90 days before taking effect. There are currently no fees collected through new construction, although nearly $12 thousand is collected for what are categorized as services. The two biggest fees are for transportation/mobility at $4,734 and Parks & Recreation at $2,865. Each new home is also assessed $719 for libraries, $1,063 for justice, $169 for general government, $181 for emergency medical services and $2,032 for schools.
