A local company who wanted the job to begin with will now take over construction of the Atlanta Braves stadium project in North Port. Sarasota-based Tandem Construction will begin work after the cost with the old company jumped from $75-100 million. That made the change possible, but has not changed the date of completion of February 2019. However, the Braves may not have all of the planned practice facilities ready in time. Groundbreaking is still expected Monday.
