Jets and planes of all shapes and sizes will take to the skies this weekend at the 36th Florida International Air Show. The show has enlarged its footprint at the Punta Gorda Airport this year to allow more room and better views for spectators.

New this year is a craft beer tent with12 brands of beer, food concessions and a fish fry cook-off. On Saturday, a 5K Fun Run early will take more than 200 runners down the runway and through the static aircraft displays.

Gates open at 4 p.m. today, the show starts at 5 p.m. Gates open tomorrow and Sunday at 9 a.m.
