Charlotte County has lifted the curfew that was in effect just prior to Hurricane Irma hitting the area. Sheriff Bill Prummell said late yesterday that the curfew order was officially lifted as of 5:15 last night. That curfew had been in effect from 9p-6a. Alcohol sales are also allowed to once again continue. One thing that is still off limits for the time being is visitation at the Charlotte County Jail, thanks to technical problems cause by Irma. Officials say they have ordered equipment to rectify the problem as soon as possible.
