A Port Charlotte man was arrested early yesterday after police were called to a home in the 5500 block of Anderson Rd. for a domestic disturbance. When police arrived, the man’s wife was able to escape the house, at which point a standoff ensued. 57-year old Loyd Anderson Lee threatened to shoot police, and finally came outside holding a gun. One deputy fired, missing him. Lee later tried to run from the house, this time without a weapon, but was tazed and subdued. He now faces a long list of charges including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm, and domestic assault.
