Florida Gov. Rick Scott wants to change the way state legislators raise taxes or fees. Scott wants to add a constitutional amendment on the 2018 ballot that would require any tax or fee hike to be approved by a supermajority of the Florida Legislature. Scott will be out of office due to term limits if and when the proposed amendment could be in effect. A supermajority varies by definition and could be as low as 2/3 or as high as 3/4.
