A man known to police in Charlotte County is now behind bars after a large stash of drugs was found in his pickup truck. Police say earlier this week, a deputy spotted a truck driven by a man, 64-year old Haig Terkanian. The deputy recognized him, and knew based on previous encounters that Terkanian did not have a driver’s license. A strong odor of marijuana allegedly was coming from the truck. A quick search found more than 21 grams of pot, 36 Suboxone strips, nearly 50 Hydromorphone tablets and 29 Oxycodone tablets. He’s now charged with a long list of drug crimes including trafficking in opiates.
