A 60-year old man was airlifted from the scene of a crash on the Venice Bridge yesterday afternoon. Police said the 60-year old man was driving his Ford Ranger on the bridge when he hit a concrete railing ast the base of the bridge. He was conscious when emergency crews and police arrived on scene. EMS crews called for the airflight after determining he had sustained internal injuries to his abdomen. There was no immediate word on his condition nor identity.
