A known felon was stopped by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office as part of a routine traffic stop when police found a pair of guns strapped to his body. A report says detectives were patrolling Palmerston Avenue in Punta Gorda when they stopped 31-year old Bo Cleveland, who was riding his motorcycle without eye protection. During a search of the man, deputies found a Smith & Wesson revolver that was strapped to his thigh in addition to an AMD-65 rifle. Cleveland was taken to the Charlotte County Jail. He’s now charged with two counts of Possession of a Firearm by Florida Convicted Felon (2 counts) and Carrying Concealed Weapon Unlicensed Firearm.
