An employee of Pizza Hut who was carrying a legal firearm on him shot a man who tried to the restaurant around 11:30pm Tuesday on the 3200 block of 17th Street in Sarasota. The unnamed employee was approached by 21-year-old Shawnathan Young and had a handgun pointed at him. The employee then pulled his own gun and shot three times. The robbers, four in total, left the scene. The man who the employee fired at was found at a local hospital being treated for a gunshot wound. All four of them are charged with armed robbery and have admitted to the crime.
