A Venice man has been arrested on sexual assault charges. The incident happened last week- a female victim called police, saying a man forced the victim into a room in her house on Strada d’Oro and was trying to sexually assault her on the floor. She was able to escape and call 911. When police arrived, then found 36-year old Joseph Carlin Lounsbury naked inside the garage. One he was in custody- and clothed- he was taken to jail. Lousnbury is charged with battery of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, domestic battery with strangulation, attempted sexual battery, false imprisonment and tampering/harassing a victim.
