A 15-year-old Charlotte County boy died Saturday while swimming with friends near Boca Grande. A memorial service was held Sunday afternoon for Gody Marselon at Port Charlotte Charlotte High School, where he would have been a junior this upcoming school year. The teenager was a member of the football and basketball teams at the school, and was leading a bible study on the beach with 10 teammates when they decided to go into the water.
