A 2.68 acre parcel of land once owned by author Walter Farley will be the site of nine new homes, thanks to a zoning change approved by the Venice City Council Tuesday. Without yesterday’s decision, the land could only be split into 8 homesites instead of 9. While that not may sound that significant…each home is expected to sell for between $1-$1.4M. The property in question is at the northwest corner of South Harbor Drive and Gulf Drive. Seven of the nine lots would face Gulf Drive; the other two would face Harbor Drive South.
