An Englewood man faces charges after police say he struck and killed a woman who was walking her dog. Police say Kyle Dilley was driving his Jeep south on Heasley Road near Maria Street when he lost control of his car. He then hit 55-year old Maria Blanco-Taha, who was pronounced dead at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Dilley told police he was reaching into the back seat to grab a water bottle when the accident happened. He is charged with careless driving- the crash is still under investigation.
