A burn ban could be in effect for Charlotte County sooner rather than later. County officials will decide next week whether to implement a ban or not. That would mean no outdoor burning of any kind- including campfires. Fireworks would also be prohibited. It won’t be official until an emergency meeting and public hearing by commissioners Tuesday.
