A teacher in Lee County has the entire community in an uproar because he is still an employee after admitting to kissing a female student in early 2016. Jonathan Blikstad pleaded contest to the charge on Monday and is now out of the classroom and working at the district office. Bilkstad is not facing jail time but he faces probation, community service and a restraining order. He was suspended for three days in March of last year, but that appears to be the height of the punishment from his employer. That hasn’t sat well with parents, many of whom believe he should be fired for his conduct.
