Congressman Tom Rooney has scheduled a town hall next Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Englewood Event Center. The Okeechobee Republican, initially reluctant to hold a town hall given the current political climate, promised to do so after being confronted by some 300 protesters outside a private event in Venice last week. Rooney plans to speak briefly and then take questions.
