Something to watch for in Punta Gorda this week. Starting Wednesday, the city’s Wastewater Collection Division will close a section of Carmalita Street between 41 Northbound and Taylor Road. That closure will continue for about three weeks. The city of Punta Gorda says that detours will be set up and provisions will be made for any businesses affected during this closure.
