The city manager of North Port has accepted an offer to serve as assistant Sarasota County administrator. Jonathan Lewis is expected to start in early April, filling the position opened with the departure of Jonathan Evans, who accepted a job as city manager in Riviera Beach. Lewis has more than 19 years of local government experience in Florida and has been serving as North Port manager since 2011.
