A woman is dead after falling eight stories from a condominium complex in Venice. It happened Thursday morning at the Waterfront Towers on East Tampa Avenue. Venice Police and Fire Rescue responded shortly after 8 AM. Police say a witness had observed a female climb out onto an upper-floor community balcony of the complex, believed to be the eighth floor, and jump. The woman was deceased at the scene. She was reportedly 60 years old. Her name was not immediately released, pending notification of relatives. Venice police say no foul play is suspected.
