A four-month old boy drowned in a bathtub at his home in North Port on November 16th. Now, his grandmother is charged with negligence and aggravated manslaughter in the death of Anakin David James Ennis. North Port police say a lengthy investigation determined that 44-year-old Robin Lee Florand negligently left the child in the bathtub unsupervised for almost 10 minutes. He was found face down and unresponsive in a few inches of water. A neighbor helped give CPR and the baby was rushed to the hospital where he later died. Police say methamphetamine was found in the bathroom and Florand tested positive for meth in her system. A warrant was issued and Florand was arrested in Polk County.
