A federal jury has convicted an Englewood man of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Ernest Chambliss is facing a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison. The investigation of Chambliss began in 2015 when Special Investigation Section detectives learned that he was selling narcotics and firearms out of his Englewood home. Authorities say that was confirmed through an undercover operation. Chambliss, who had prior felony convictions, has been deemed an Armed Career Criminal.
