An arrest is made in an assault and attempted carjacking in Venice.
Police say they found fingerprints belonging to Ralph Forte on one of the cars he tried to steal from its driver on Wednesday and surveillance video from an area business showed him at the crime scene.
Investigators say Forte attacked two people seriously injuring one of them.
Venice Elementary and Venice High school went on limited lockdown while those incidents were happening.
