The S&P’s CoreLogic Case-Shiller index shows American home prices have risen again.
The index does not include local markets, but the trade group’s data shows Charlotte County has experienced an increase of nearly 17 percent over the last year.
Homes have traded for a median of $197,000.
Prices have increased in Sarasota and Manatee counties by 5.2 percent over that time.
The median price of a home in that area has jumped to close to $263,000.
