Cape Coral’s mayor last night voted with the city council on a deal to benefit firefighters.
No one knew for sure whether or not Marni Retzer could vote because of her connection to Cape Coral fireman Ken Retzer.
The two married in July after she filed a restraining order against him.
Court filings that show the mayor skipped a council meeting because her husband could appear, causing her to fear for her safety.
WINK-TV reports Ken Retzer filed for divorce from Marni Retzer last week after two months of marriage.
