The Sarasota-Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization has released its top legislative priorties for next year.
The Herald-Tribune has identified the items at the top of the list as putting six lanes on River Road and replacing the DeSoto Bridge over the Manatee River.
The legislative platform does not include any price estimates, and it does not rank either project as a greater priority.
David Hutchinson from the MPO says FDOT has already planned possible replacements of the Anna Maria Island Bridge and Cortez Bridge in Manatee County.
The MPO board wants the DeSoto Bridge next in line.
