New owners have taken over Punta Gorda Speedway.
WBBH-TV reports Joe and Janet Gentry already have dozens of volunteers working to get the track ready for a race.
The track has fallen into disrepair under its last few managers.
Now the new owners have leased it from the airport authority for $3,000 per month.
The authority believes it has the right owners this time.
The Gentrys hope to have racing return this winter.
