Allegiant Air finally has some new aircraft in its fleet.

The Tampa Bay Times reports the company plans on buying 12 new Airbus 320 planes.

This marks the first purchase of new aircraft in the company’s two decades of solely using used MD-80 aircraft.

This announcement follows Allegiant’s pilots approving a new three-year contract.

At the moment, Allegiant serves as the sole active carrier at Punta Gorda Airport.
