Some people in Sarasota do not like the prospect of an off-ramp in their neighborhood.
The state plans on building one for I-75 and Bee Ridge Road.
Southbound traffic could go beyond the exit and come out directly to Cattlemen Road around Home Depot and Walmart, not far from Wilkinson Road.
FDOT project manager Kevin Ingle says the department has already changed the off-ramp once, and it looks unclear whether or not it may happen again.
Ingle tells WWSB-TV that the project remains years away, and it wouldn’t begin until after the current Bee Ridge Road project finishes.
