Authorities have a Port Charlotte man without bond in a homicide investigation.

Police in Leesburg have charged Jeremy Gentry with stealing the car belonging to 84-year-old Bernadine Montgomery.

Montgomery’s neighbors have not seen her in over two weeks.

Police claim they found evidence in her home and car that lead them to suspect foul play.

WOFL-TV in Orlando reports Gentry told police that he had taken drugs and did not know what happened to Montgomery.

Police say Gentry worked on her house several months ago and may have overcharged her thousands of dollars.

After the investigation, Montgomery said she did not want to press charges.

The search continues for her body.
