Expect to find lots of deputies with radar guns in Port Charlotte next week.
The sheriff’s office says they plan on enforcing the speed limit very closely on two stretches of road: Peachland Boulevard between Cochran and Harbor boulevards, and Tamiami Trail between Melbourne Street and Harbor Boulevard.
Deputies also intend to enforce traffic lights in two spots: Tamiami Trail and Veterans Boulevard in Port Charlotte, and at Spinnaker and South McCall roads in Englewood.
