The Coast Guard says it has recovered a yellow kayak.
Capt. Gregory Case says it matches the description of one of those that a sailboat towed.
That sailboat disappeared off the coast of Englewood on Sunday.
Case also says a response boat and helicopter saw a flare for three seconds in the search area.
