Punta Gorda Airport now has more room.
The Charlotte County Airport Authority has dedicated the expanded Bailey Terminal.
The Herald-Tribune reports the new terminal includes a thousand additional seats at six new gates.
It also has a full-service restaurant and bar, 20 check-in counters, two baggage claim belts, and new TSA screening and checkpoints.
Work on the 42,000-square-foot project finished in March.
The project’s final cost totals $8.3 million.
The facility bears the name of seven brothers from Punta Gorda who volunteered to serve in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars.
