A 26-year-old North Port man is charged with robbery with a firearm, a felony, after a Friday morning incident at a Winn Dixie on Tamiami Trail. Police report that Wesley Brackin was pulled over in his truck at Chancellor Boulevard and S. Sumter Crossing Road after police said he demanded money from a cashier shortly after 8 a.m. and showed what she believed to be a revolver.
He left the store with $272 and was taken into custody at the traffic stop about five minutes later.
