The role that cash buyers have played in the region’s residential real estate market has diminished.
Numbers from RealtyTrac show cash buyers have accounted for 53 percent of all single-family home and condo sales so far this year in the Sarasota-Manatee area.
That may sit lower than the 59 percent from last year at this point, but the area still ranks 14th in the nation for the share of cash deals.
As for Charlotte County, buyers have closed with cash on 57 percent so far this year.
That sits below the 63 percent from this time last year.
