A report puts the economic impact of the Englewood Beach Waterfest at $2.3 million.

The Charlotte Harbor Visitors and Convention Bureau has received this information from Research Data Services.

More information shows 15,000 people attended the National and World Championship races, and 12 percent of these people stayed overnight. Their length of stay averaged five nights, leading to a total of 4,800 room nights in Englewood.

The report shows the data from Research Data Services does not include thousands of people on Dearborn Street for the boat parade and block party that welcomed the Budweiser Clydesdales and racing families and teams.
