An EF-2 tornado blew through Cape Coral, Florida, uprooting palm trees, bringing down power lines, tossing cars and causing widespread damage. Nobody was killed in the storm, and only minor injuries were reported. THe Orlando Sentinel is reporting Parts of Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Sanibel Island, as well as parts of Charlotte, Hendry and Collier counties, were without power Saturday night, according to the Lee County Electric Cooperative. In some areas the power may have been out until some time today.(Monday) The initial damage estimate stands at $5.5 million.
