The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office was busy late last week as members of its Special Investigations Unit rounded up 11 people Thursday night and Friday morning in a prostitution crackdown. Undercover detectives from the sheriff’s office and an FBI task force contacted dozens of people advertising illicit services on various websites. Nine men and two women were arrested on charges of soliciting prostitution. Two of those arrested also face drug charges; another faces charges of resisting arrest.
