A vehicle crash on Veterans Boulevard near Peachland Boulevard earlier this afternoon took down power lines and shut down the roadway just off Kings Highway in Port Charlotte. Traffic was detoured around the closure while crews cleaned up the mess, which took about an hour to complete. No word on how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was injured in the collision.
