Police and school officials are looking into a brawl that erupted among players from North Port and Braden River high schools at a football game Friday evening. The melee was contained within about 90 seconds, but one Braden River player sustained injuries requiring a hospital visit–he was reportedly hit in the mouth with a helmet, knocking out two teeth. The number and names of the players involved, and whether any criminal charges will be filed, is still under investigation.
