CCSO deputies say they’ve identified the body of a woman found Sunday.

The department says the remains are those of 45-year old Martha Gibbons. According to NBC2, Gibbons family and friends called the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office August 24th to file a missing persons report. Gibbons didn’t have an address, and noone had seen her in several days. Her body was found Sunday near Cochran and Pelham Boulevards in Port Charlotte. Investigators are waiting for the medical examiner to complete an autipsy to determine how she died.
