They’ll be doing traffic signal enforcement at the intersections of US 41 and Midway Blvd., and Veterans Blvd. and Atwater St. in Port Charlotte. They’ll be on the lookout for speeders the entire length of Melbourne Street in Port Charlotte and on Placida Road from Rotonda Boulevard West to SR 776 in Englewood. By the way, numbers from the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles, show Charlotte County’s had 18 vehicle deaths so far this year; up from 11 this time last year.
