An Englewood man was arrested yesterday morning for what Sarasota sheriff’s deputies are calling a vicious attack. 10 News reports that after a night out, 29-year-old Charles Evans choked his girlfriend until she lost consciousness–twice–locked her inside his house, and assaulted another man who tried to get the woman away from the scene. The woman was finally able to escape and call her father, who took her to the hospital. Evans faces a number of charges including attempted murder, false imprisonment, assault, and burglary.
