Detectives continue investigating a purse snatching from last night in Port Charlotte.
Reports show the suspect ran up behind a woman last night just outside the Books-a-Million.
The sheriff’s office says he ran through the parking lot with her purse, and he had the woman and other people chasing him.
These witnesses did not catch him, but they have passed along a description to law enforcement.
Authorities have found some of the purse’s contents near Labelle Terrace behind and south of the shopping plaza. However, they have not found the purse or the suspect.
