Two boats collided near the U.S. 41 bridge Saturday night around 10. NBC2 reports Arthur Zimbicki was checking on the other boater, identified as Travis Price, and told him he was going to call 911. That’s when Price, according to witnesses, dove into the water and swam away. Police found him in some mangroves near Ponce de Leon Park three hours later. An FWC spokesperson says he was on probation and thought he’d be arrested. He was taken to Lee Memorial. Investigators say the lights on Price’s boat weren’t on at the time of the crash, and say alcohol may have been a factor.
