North Port City Commissioners have set caps on how much city residents will pay in taxes in the new budget for fire rescue and solid waste services. According to the Herald-Tribune solid waste will cost $249, which it’s been for the past eight years. Commissioners agreed to a 3% hie for fire and rescue, to $76.90, up $2.24. The numbers could come down. The new budget year starts October 1st.
