The biggest change for the 31st year of the event is that racing will be on two days, Saturday and Sunday. The Herald-Tribune reports the qualifiers for the 30-boats entered starts Saturday morning at 10 and runs through 3:30 in the afternoon. The finals will be Sunday. Also new this year, jet ski and open canopy boat races. You’ll be able to watch the jet ski and boat races on CBS Sports, Fox Sun Sports, and MAV TV. The prime time CBS event’s scheduled to air July 17th. This is all part of the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Festival which includes a fishing tourney tomorrow, a boat parade and block party Friday.
